I’ve watched that video of the art student several more times now This video is actually fascinating to me I have the feeling it might actually be a staged performance piece, but it’s just as likely not. (Doesn’t matter either way.)
I like how much discussion is happening around the video. It’s immediately evocative of a lot of strong opinions that are simple enough for people to share with reblogs and youtube comments.
Also what the fuck was up with those people, their critiques were pretty shitty. What really get to me is the “outsider art” comments. She didn’t say she was “pretending that she never learned to paint”, she said she was moving beyond the barriers and limits they set in her class. There is a big difference.
so my nan was spouting some crap about how gay people aren’t really people because of what it says in the bible so I said “you think the only people who are people, are the people who look and think like you but if you walked the footsteps of a stranger, you’ll learn things you never knew” and she shut the fuck up
she had no idea I was quoting a song from Pocahontas
Just beat my boyfriend in a spontaneous wrestling match. WHO’S NEXT, MOTHERFUCKERS
no but srsly, if I take the time to learn some moves to pin people without being thrown off due to my small frame and light weight, I’ll be able to win without having to wear the person’s energy away over 15 minutes.
Went to Chinatown earlier today and got some spices and noodles and stuff, and in a little while I’m gonna head to the grocery store and get some veggies and mushrooms so I can make stir fry tonight *super excite*
